Euro Jen's April Itinerary

Ok, I finally got on the train. I pulled an all nighter in Amsterdam last night. Then took the train to Munich today. Now I’m catching another one to Budapest for a few days then on to Greece for Easter weekend. After that I’ll have one or two more Eastern Europe stopovers like Krakow or Bucarest and Constanta. Then on to Prague for a few days. After that it gets jumbled, but I’m hoping for Paris, Sevilla, Baden Baden, and another town in Germany to visit some family friends. Today I bougt a casino dress and the sexy boots I’ve always wanted. It wasn’t the second most important dress I’ll ever buy in my life, but it should get me in to the casinos in Baden Baden and Bucarest. I had a really hard time leaving London, but at least I was encouraged to come back for a longer visit than this last one. What to do, what to do. Well it's a nice problem to have. Don't forget to "take the waters" in some of those towns, particularly after a night of debauch in your casino dress. FYI, the Lizard has become a fan of craps.

Apes, Lizards, Shepherds...how come I don't have an nickname relating to animals? I'm in Budapest now, about to take the waters, but their time slots make it an afternoon treat. Now I'm just trying to decide on which one. James, if you and your gambling cousins want to make a spontaneous trip and meet me in Baden Baden next week, let me know. It's not the Monte Carlo, but they've got the oldest casino in Europe.

Jen can you find out what is so funny about Baden Baden - I used to have a German girlfriend who thought that it was the funniest thing in the world to hear me speak of Baden Baden...

All I know is that it's known for its casino and baths. Maybe she thought you were an evil gambler that needed to be washed.

Baden Baden - so good they had to name it twice. I went there on Christmas Eve, met a Hungarian duke and we've been dating ever since. It's a place dear to my heart and I wish I were going with you!!!!

Carol, thanks for your comments. That's wonderful news about your duke. Maybe I'll find one at the casino. I don't have much money, but I'll be saving up to go to that one, for sure. We'll see about the one in Bucarest. I can always dress up and have a drink inside...

No problem, Jen. Be forewarned though, 90% of the Baden Baden crowd is over 80. If the casino doesn't do it for you, try the bar at Leo's. Have a great trip, wherever you end up. Carol

casinos, spas, and a bar named Leo. It sounds like I'll be going home. Excellent!

Come on Jen ... enquiring minds want to know more about the dress!

Ha ha on the dress, Cyn. It's black, tank style with a v-neck cut. Bunchy stuff at the boobs making them look better. Loose fitting, which is good for the belly. And I can't remember how short. Possibly above the knee, but most likely right around the knee. It has a very slinky feel to it, and it'll look dressy with my Italian wrap. Can dress it down or dress it up, but I'll use the shawl I got in Florence to dress it up for the casinos. Without the shawl I'll look young, with the shawl I look older. So, it'll just depend on how dressy I need to be or how old my companion is.

Yes, Baden Baden was one of the highlights of the trip. My itinerary was shot to hell, but Baden Baden made it and I was happy there. That's great you fell in love there, Carol. I just fell in love with the casino.
