  Good luck in the new year. Keep up the great work. Personally, I'm looking to continue working on Enduring Wanderlust: An Online Travel Magazine along with attempting to motivate people to travel a lot in 2009. End the so called "staycations" of 2008. ~Gennaro

  @PerceptiveHum Most domain names were taken in all fields years ago. In travel, the most obvious names are usually parked domains. The site names in politics, celeb news, etc are just as weird.

  I just started to read Written Road. It is very informative! My proudest accomplishment is that I have moved to and enjoy living in the Middle East. My goal for 2009 is to keep on living the travel lifestyle. What I would like to see from Written Road? Well I am just starting to explore the site so I don't really know yet.   Great Questions, and Happy New Year! 1) I am proud of having completed my first full calendar year of living and traveling abroad, with no end in sight. (I've been on the road since April 2007, so am actually approaching 2 full years abroad). 2)For 2009: I'm going to continue to travel (even if I use one country as a home base), and branch into more print media to increase my income-to-work ratio. 3) I hope to continue to see quality interviews and content from Written Road, with Job Leads and tips that assist writers to differentiate themselves and create sustainable streams of income from travel writing.   @ Gennaro ~ Looking forward to seeing what you do with Enduring Wanderlust in 09. Good luck with eliminating "staycations" though. I've been on the road for a month now and have heard the term about 20 times. @PerceptiveHum ~ Not sure if I'd use the phrase "bad names" or just unusual. I mean who would have thought "Twitter" would have actually taken off? @Christine ~ Glad you like WR so far and are having success in the Middle East. The travel lifestyle can be challenging for sure, and it's important to step back sometimes and remember just how lucky we all have it. @ Nora Dunn ~ Wow thanks for the great feedback on your accomplishments and goals in 2009. I'll see what I can do with your WR requests. (Any people specifically you would like to see interviewed?) Looking forward to what else you all have to say.

  Written Road is one of my favorite sources of travel writer info. I like reading about the emergence of new technology tools for writers - writing about how Twitter can help writers, video camera options or interviews with other writers. 1) What have been some of your proudest accomplishments this year? * Being invited for the second year in a row as a speaker at the Adventure Travel Trade Association World Summit (Sao Paulo, Brazil.) * Being hired to blog for Away.com. * Working on stories for Tour of California bike race. 2) What are your goals for 2009? * Redesign my website www.karenkefauver.com to make it more interactive and find a content management system I can handle myself! * I welcome readers\\\' thoughts on this if you run your own website - I am considering using Joomla or Dupral. 3) What would you would like to see from Written Road this upcoming year? * I come from a traditional print journalism background and want to continue to learn how to produce multimedia packages - so tips on integrating and selling stories with video, photo, etc. interests me.
