The Educated Traveler Newsletter

The announcement reads,"a travel newsletter designed for discriminating people for whom the activities they pursue, the people they meet, the things they learn...the background of a country...are just as important as the destination." EducatedTraveler.org And guess what? They pay $100 for 800 word submissions. Here are their Writer's Guidelines
"An ET Find is something relatively obscure that may not be adequately publicized but is a delightful, upscale, in-depth travel experience. Travel Program Profiles require a chart as sidebar detailing different types of programs/tours available (contact information, tour size, price, typical destinations and dates, leadership, amenities, etc.). Learning Vacations cover a specific special interest, with a description of one experience coupled with a round-up of similar-type travel and learning opportunities in a variety of destinations."
They are also accepting smaller format pieces.
