I know you need a picture. I will try hard to get you one tonight. But suffice it to say that she's never looked better. Susan drove me to San Rafael to pick it up on Sunday. A few hours later Jennifer Colvin brought me a huge 38DD pink bra and I've hung it facing the back from the passenger's seat. It's perfect.
Larry had picked up the signs on Friday and though I hung them with clips on the sides of the car while parked in front of Easy Going, we attached them with bungee cords properly this morning. The back trunk now reads, Sand in My Bra, the funniest book this year. www.sandinmybra.com. WR fan Linda and her sister took me to the Solano Stroll where it's obvious that Travelers' Tales needs to have a booth next year. The traffic just might be better than the North Beach Festival.
Back to the car. Susan's son, Grant, fixed the warning lights, the air con, and checked all the fluids and tire pressures. I've got a sand bucket of bras in the back, the poster of the book cover, a furry grey seat cover, a new cup holder hanging off the driver's door, and the rest of my crap in any free nook and cranny.
I'm headed down to LA tonight and will be at Distant Lands tomorrow at noon. Then I'll be speaking at a Pages and Plates dinner for Chinese Professionals.
Through it all, I'm dying to go to a movie. My family is always good for that, even two a day if I want, so I'll try to sneak that in Sunday night. Oh, and I can't wait to listen to a tape that a psychic made of a session I had two years ago in Australia. I just found it in a box of crap I once thought were treasures.
In other news, last night I had my third event dream. I thought they'd gone away after Seattle but their back. Maybe I could sleep better if I had more radio booked.
