Left Coast Writers™

Now that I'm back in the Bay Area it's high time I went to my first Left Coast Writers™ event. My friend Linda Watanabe McFerrin was in from the get go, and looking at their about page I also recognize Anneli Rufus, Jeff Greenwald, and Bradley Charbonneau. So, what is it?

"Left Coast Writers™ was created to support new and established writers in the production and promotion of their work in a stimulating atmosphere of creativity and community. "

And they do it in fun ways like monthly meetings at Book Passage (often with guest speakers), networking sessions at local wine bars, and always by supporting eachothers books and events. I will be going to see Bradley Charbonneau's new travel guidebook, Urban Travel Guide to San Francisco. In fact, I'm a little nervous to see if any pictures of me are in there. Doubtful, but I did take some while helping him out in South Park last year after he first got the gig.
