I'm reposting this because it got invaded by spam hackers. I think it is a good one to keep because I know writers who are making money from it. iTravelSyndicate
"iTravelSyndicate is an online marketplace for travel content, which includes articles ranging from 200 to 6,000 words. Think of us as an evolved syndicate - smarter, quicker, wittier and far more useful than our predecessors. iTravelSyndicate allows editors worldwide to search for the articles they need and purchase those articles at prices far below what they would pay to commission a freelance writer. Editors buy nonexclusive reprint rights, which include digital reprint/archive rights. However, editors may not resell articles for which they purchased rights from iTravelSyndicate."

    Dear Zen Leo - WFTR the site looks pretty good and am I sure there is room for my stuff there - however, the ticky thing for me is cashing an american check - my bank cripples me with charges to the point of it not being viable...any ideas? Philip

    I think they said they have 4000 writers from around the world. They might have a form of payment that could work for you. Or you could always set up a Pay Pal account. Those fees are fairly small. I'll keep thinking....but if you return here to do work every so often, maybe they'd pay you in Money Orders and you could just spend it while you're here.

    Zen-WFTR, I just posted something like 100 articles - so here's the plan - anything over the inital costs I make I will stick in my underwear draw to be spent on champagne and cheesecake next time I am over....should I not make any cash I guess we could always go and eat at in and out

    All right Jen and Philip, I'm jumping onto this hog-pile too, only because it seems that this site was specifically created for me in mind (too busy chasing the new lead, total failure at business end of freelance, etc). I'll buy the cheap wine if i ever meet either of you, but the bulk of any earnings will have to go to the "Leif Pettersen Not Starving to Death" fund.

    I paid and uploaded my articles for a year, and hear nothing from them. Not sure how big their client base is.

    After two months of silence, iTravelSyndicate came through in the form of a Canadian search engine web site that features weekly articles on various subjects. They bought one article right away and, sensing opportunity, I pitched a few more and they bought a second. Still, I have gotten three times as much work by giving stuff away to BootsnAll (cost: free) and having editors find me through top-notch Google search hits. iTravelSyndicate may have thousands of editors registered, but I wonder how many actually sign on and search on a regular basis? Anyway, I made my reg. money back and then some, so hurrah!
