Is It A Trip, Or Is It A Writing Class?
You be the judge. IgoUgo has teamed up with Media Bistro to sell a travel writing class in Provence.
Travel Writing in Provence
Dates:May 8-15, 2004
Price: $1,780 (double); $1,978 (single)
For all that money, plus the cost of airfare, and a heavy travel itinerary, I'll be impressed if the students truly walk away with "a portfolio of clips to get you started in the travel-writing biz."
Clips, to me, means more than one published piece. How can you do the research, write the story, and get it published all in a week? Let alone, a whole portfolio's worth.
If anybody takes the class, please write in and let us know how it was and whether or not it met/exceeded your expectations.
