Amazon Connect is Working

Just a quick note to say that the Amazon Connect program is working for me. I had my first random book buyer comment on my section. Thankfully, it was positive. Even though I've had two happy commentors, one of which was my friend, I still can't help but wonder how many people are confused and annoyed at how their Amazon home page has changed. They're calling it a "Plog" - and I haven't yet figured out if you can turn it off. Basically, each individual user's Amazon home page changes and has personal content based on what they've bought in the past. I haven't bought that many books on Amazon and the few that I have, the authors aren't on the program, so I'm not getting messages everytime I go over there. The one thing I wish would be different on it is if I'd get an email telling me that someone has commented. I really don't want to go over there every day to look. Still, I think it's wild. It gets me thinking about the indie bookstores that I love and how we can incorporate something similar with them. Maybe there are some indie loving tech gurus out there already working on it. If there are, let me know. Popping into town once a year to show some support isn't enough.
